RF Communication tests 06/03/2011

Using Jennic's evaluation kit, preliminary tests were carried out on a ship environment. Early results reveal the efficiency of the product, although in 2.4GHz, to communicate over 40m with LOS in complex metallic areas, as the ships holds and tank tops. As an efficiency measure the Packet Error Rate(PER) index was used instead of Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) for a more realistic scenario. See Video during test inside water ballast
